My internship church, Unity Lutheran is located along a very busy thoroughfare in the Downriver area south of Detroit.  Detroit has a design of streets in a spoke and on some of these streets, they use something called a  Michigan left.  At an intersection,  one does not make a left. Instead, a right turn is made and then across several lanes to make a u-turn in a designated area just past the intersection. It has taken a while for me to get used to them.  It reminds me of repentance.  It is a turning to go in the right direction.  God is with us in our u-turns and is calling us to go in the directions that are life-giving. 

Question: Are there places that you drive to on autopilot like work or school?  Challenge yourself to go there in a new way. Notice how that feels.
