Hymn Hummer
This is full disclosure... I don't read music. I can see that the notes go up and down but I am in awe of those who can. I deeply believe that we all have songs in our hearts and that all can sing and make music. Below are some of my attempts to make music with the help of others. I have added some organizations below that I think are wonderful resources for connection. There is also a form to share your resources or music with me.
Songs to share....
Sacred Space and Public Square
This was originally written for a Hymn Society competition that I did not win but followed the theme of their conference. As followers of Jesus, I believe we are called to look for ways to live out his teachings in the church and the larger world.

We are Shaken by the Wind
In 2017, deacons and deaconesses from around the world gathered in Chicago for International DIAKONIA . It is an opportunity to support and learn from each other as we praise God who shakes us up and out into the world to serve.

This Changes Everything
For the 2018 ELCA Youth Gathering, James Kocian and I collaborated and the song was chosen as the theme song. James brought his amazing musical and mixing talent and Judi brought a singable hook and theological reflection. Judi also helped in envisioning that the song needed to able musically accessible so that congregations could support their youth. Who Are We?
At my internship congregation, they worked together to make a sending that reminds them of who they are and what they are called to do. This song was written to sing out. There is a saying " Those who sing, pray twice. " It has been credited to St. Augustine but that may be debated. Regardless, it is true. that when we sing, we pray twice.
